The order must be made before 11am and all products in the order must qualify for this. For any order after 11am, qualifying orders will dispatch the next working day. Although we send all items on a next day service, due to our freight mostly being un-conveyable through the courier hub network our delivery partners ask that we allow 2 working days for any item sent by us. To take advantage of our free promotion production upgrades, these must be selected in checkout. A delivery fee will be payable on any order under our threshold of £199.00 , regardless of any free production promotion we advertise on our individual products. The Tube All tubes used for our Roller Blinds are manufactured from high grade aluminium. We use different tube sizes depending on the width and drop of your blind, and this is automatically set by our manufacturing software. The Brackets All brackets and components are included. We do not include any wall plugs or fixing screws, as each window can have different fixings, unfortunately we cannot provide a universal solution. The blinds are easily fitted using our White powder coated metal universal brackets which can be face, side or top fixed to the window, wall or lintel. The Controls All blinds are supplied as standard with a White beaded plastic chain, you can upgrade the chain type within each product. We also have the facility to allow you to change the control side, and this will be visible in the drop down boxes on the product page when available. The Idle End The end opposite to the Control End is called the Idle End. This is a sprung plunger as standard, giving the quickest and easiest solution when it comes to installing the blind. The Blind Length The actual drop of your blind is manufactured as precisely as possible to your measurements, with a Roller blind the blind can be slightly longer than the drop requested and the extra fabric simply just wraps around the tube. The Bottom Bar As standard, our roller blinds feature a standard Ultrasonic Welded pocket, a leading manufacturing technique where the bottom bar is enclosed within the fabric pocket. This design provides a more aesthetically pleasing appearance, as the fabric’s face remains free from any visible stitch lines and a “10mm shadow line” is all that is visible where we weld the fabric together. For a surcharge, we also offer the following: A Wraparound (“No-Sew”) bottom bar. This gives the Roller Blind an elegant look, as the face of the fabric is wrapped around the front of the bar. The back of the bottom bar is always uncovered (facing the window) and is white in colour. An Exposed Bottom Bar which gives a sleek and premium finishing option for roller blinds, designed to add a modern touch while improving functionality, and it comes in four colours: White, Anthracite Grey, Black, and Chrome. Child Safety We are longstanding members of the British Blinds & Shutter Association (BBSA) and take the safety and care of young children very seriously. As members of the BBSA we are committed to manufacture blinds that are child safe and to comply with the guidelines outlined in the British & European Safety Standards (BS EN 13120:2009+A1:2014). We supply all Roller Blinds with either a breakaway device or a fixed tensioning device that we manufacture – the safety device method is chosen automatically by software in our production. Breakaway Device A breakaway device has been designed and rigorously tested to come apart under 6kg of pressure; the breakaway device can be easily clipped back together, allowing the blind to be used as normal afterwards. These safety chain connectors are used in pairs and at least 200mm apart. The breakaway device will always remain attached to one end of the chain if it does break apart. In order for this safety device to be fitted in-line with child safety legislation, as the installation height of your window is unknown, we will calculate the chain length to be 2/3 of the blind drop. For example, a blind with a 1000mm drop will have a chain no longer than 666mm. Fixed Tensioning Device A fixed tensioning device has been designed to ensure cords are fixed to the wall, to prevent any looped hazards from being present. As the installation height of your window is unknown, for blinds with a drop of less than 2500mm, the chain length will be no longer than 1000mm or for blinds with a drop of more than 2500mm, the chain length will be equal to the blind drop less 1500mm. We will not make any exceptions for customer requests for any longer chain lengths required, if you would like to query the chain length we would supply for a specific blind size or provide us with an Install Height of your window, then we will be happy to apply this specific instruction to your order – however this must be done within 1 hour of placing your order, by eMail. Maintenance We recommend that regular visual checks are carried out to ensure that no components or blind parts have been damaged, dislodged or lost which could result in operating difficulties and/or cause a safety risk. If any maintenance is required, we recommend that the work is carried out immediately, by a reputable blind company and the blind to be removed and not used if there is a safety concern. Light Leakage “Blackout” or “Blockout” fabrics – if stated, although the material is blackout/blockout, the blind can contain some light leakage, as such we are unable to advertise any blind system as 100% blackout. As examples; on a vertical blind you may get light leakage between each slat and around the full blind, on a perfect fit blind you may get light leakage between the material and frame and on a roller blind you will get light leakage between the fabric and the edge of the brackets. Some blinds are more effective than others, so please feel welcome to contact our customer care team to find the most ideal blind for you. The wrap around bottom bar, is the most desired option across the Blinds industry, as it gives a seamless look without any sewing lines or “pin pricks” across the fabric. You may ask why do other competitors use the “Open Sew Pocket”? Quite simply, it isthe cheapest and quickest method of manufacture – we believe in quality and therefore do not use this method. What does Standardor Reverse Roll mean? The “Standard Roll” option means the fabric will roll from the back of the tube, closer to the glass. This brings benefits such as better thermal retention and light reflection (particularly useful for blackout fabrics!). The “Reverse Roll” option does just the opposite, meaning the fabric will roll from the front of the tube, away from the glass. This is beneficial if there are window handles to clear, and usually a preferred option for creating the seamless look. Is a Metal Chain stronger than a Plastic Chain? The simple answer is no. A White Plastic chain comes as standard across all our Roller blinds. We give upgrade options in both Plastic and Metal chain options, so you can personalise your blind to match household accessories such as Brass door handles or Silver wall sockets.
