Cairo Indigo 127mm Made to measure Vertical Blind Product Specification Blind Type Vertical Blinds Colour Blue Delivery Option Fast Track Design Plain Features Moisture Resistant Thermal Material Polyester Slat Size 127mm (5″) Material Spec 100% Polyester Opacity Blackout Room Bedroom Living Room Window Type Bay Window Standard Window Bifold Doors French Doors Sliding Doors Important Notes Same Day Dispatch & “Free Fast Track” Upgrade For products qualifying for same day dispatch & free next day, please be aware that this is a production upgrade through the factory and not to be confused with a courier service. The order must be made before 11am and all products in the order must qualify for this. For any order after 11am, qualifying orders will dispatch the next working day. Although we send all items on a next day service, due to our freight mostly being un-conveyable through the courier hub network our delivery partners ask that we allow 2 working days for any item sent by us. To take advantage of our free promotion production upgrades, these must be selected in checkout. A delivery fee will be payable on any order under our threshold of £199.00 , regardless of any free production promotion we advertise on our individual products. The Headrail The headrail of all our Vertical Blinds is made from a very strong aluminium metal and is powder coated White. The plastic componentry inside the headrail has all being 10 year life cycle tested, alongside strong UV testing; ensuring the headrail will last the test of time in your window. The number of louvres/slats to make your blind is calculated and rounded up; this may therefore result in blinds of similar sizes having a noticably different overlap in the louvres/slats as spacing is not equal. The Brackets All brackets and components are included. We do not include any wall plugs or fixing screws, as each window can have different fixings, unfortunately we cannot provide a universal solution. The blinds are easily fitted using our top fix or face fix brackets, which can be selected at point of order. The Delivery Our Vertical Blinds are usually sent in two packages, one package is the long length of the Headrail & Brackets and the second package is the Slats. We will always dispatch these together, however there can be times when packages arrive separately when moving through the courier networks. The Pattern If you choose a patterned fabric, the blind is not intended to have a uniform design – this means that the pattern is randomised across the blind. All of our slats are machine cut, so if a pattern has formed, you may be required to ‘shuffle’ the slats to create a random design. Assembly Please note that sometimes your vertical blind slats may need weights inserting and chains connecting to them, if applicable. This is often the case when bunches of 40 or more slats are ordered as we do not add the accessible weights/chain as this can damage the slats in transit. Child Safety We are longstanding members of the British Blinds & Shutter Association (BBSA) and take the safety and care of young children very seriously. As members of the BBSA we are committed to manufacture blinds that are child safe and to comply with the guidelines outlined in the British & European Safety Standards (BS EN 13120:2009+A1:2014). We supply all Vertical Blinds with the Cords & Chain Operation option selected, with a fixed tensioning device. The most inherently Child Safe Option, is to choose to operate the blind with a Wand Operation. Fixed Tensioning Device A fixed tensioning device has been designed to ensure cords are fixed to the wall, to prevent any looped hazards from being present. As the installation height of your window is unknown, for blinds with a drop of less than 250cm, the chain length will be no longer than 100cm or for blinds with a drop of more than 250cm, the chain length will be equal to the blind drop less 150cm. We will not make any exceptions for customer requests for any longer chain lengths required, if you would like to query the chain length we would supply for a specific blind size or provide us with an Install Height of your window, the we will be happy to apply this specific instruction to your order – however this must be done within 1 hour of placing your order, by eMail. Maintenance We recommend that regular visual checks are carried out to ensure that no components or blind parts have been damaged, dislodged or lost which could result in operating difficulties and/or cause a safety risk. If any maintenance is required, we recommend that the work is carried out immediately, by a reputable blind company and the blind to be removed and not used if there is a safety concern. Light Leakage “Blackout” or “Blockout” fabrics – if stated, although the material is blackout/blockout, the blind can contain some light leakage, as such we are unable to advertise any blind system as 100% blackout. As examples; on a vertical blind you may get light leakage between each slat and around the full blind, on a perfect fit blind you may get light leakage between the material and frame and on a roller blind you will get light leakage between the fabric and the edge of the brackets. Some blinds are more effective than others, so please feel welcome to contact our customer care team to find the most ideal blind for you. Choose this option when fitting your blind inside the window recess.
What we do:
We're going to make your blind slightly smaller than the sizes you give. It's important that you do not make any deductions yourself.
In most cases the overall blind will be made 10mm narrower in the width than the measurements you give. This is so the blind and fittings don't scrape against the wall and the panels hang beautifully without dragging on the window sill.
Is Recess Fit right for you?
Put simply, a recessed window is one that is set back into the wall. Fitting the blind inside this space means that it doesn't stick out into the room, resulting in a neat finish.
Exact Fitting
Choose this option when fitting your blind outside the window area.
What we do:
Your blind will be made exactly to the sizes you give to us.
Is Exact Fit right for you?
It might be that you do not have a recess, or that you need a blind that sits outside of the recess and therefore are ordering a blind with extra width and drop to overlap the recessed space. Or, it might be that you already have the perfectly sized blind up at your window and want us to make a new blind exactly the same size for you.
